I have a very special connection to these magnificent creatures. Sperm whales dive to the deepest depths of our oceans in their search of giant squid. They constantly produce click and beep sounds to scan their environment in the darkness. As they dive down, the spermaceti substance in their head, changes consistency to enable them to dive quicker and easier. I think sperm whales are remarkable. They sleep vertically, by floating right underneath the water surface.
